Complete the following steps to share files over a Wi-Fi connection for the BlackBerry Device:

1. On the BlackBerry device, open Settings
2. Select Storage and Sharing for BlackBerry PlayBook, or select Storage and Access for BlackBerry 10 smartphone
3. Toggle Wi-Fi Sharing to ON for BlackBerry PlayBook or toggle Access using Wi-Fi to On for BlackBerry 10 smartphone
4. Select Properties for BlackBerry PlayBook or select Identification on Network for BlackBerry 10 smartphone
   This allows verification of the device’s network identification information. (username, password etc)
5. Navigate to the IP address of the device from a Windows or Mac based computer on the same network as the BlackBerry device which can be found under Settings > About > Network.
   Follow the applicable steps below:
   1. On a Windows computer, open the Run dialog box (shortcut of Windows Key + R)
   2. Type file:\\127.1.1.1 or file:\\127.1.1.1
      (where 127.1.1.1 should be replaced with the actual IP address of the BlackBerry Device)
   3. On a Mac computer, select Go > Connect to Server
   4. Type smb://127.1.1.1
      (where 127.1.1.1 should be replaced with the actual IP address of the BlackBerry Device)
